Give me books, fruit, French wine and fine weather and a little music out of doors, played by someone I do not know.

John Keats (via 52books)

I love Keats. I’m reading a lot of his stuff recently and plan to visit his grave in Rome soon. And I hope they hurry up and redecorate his house cos’ I wanna’ see that as well.

Got Bob Dylan’s ‘New Morning’ album today. From what I’ve listened to so far it seems to be his most unappreciated album. A lot of people don’t seem to rate it. But I do. I love the sound.

INTO THE WILD is a great film adapted and direction by Sean Penn. If you want an action packed film, it’s not for you. But if you want to be dazzled and moved, watch it. It also makes a few references to Jack London to whom I greatly admire. Watch the trailer.

I’m a photographer. But I hardly ever seem to post my pictures on this blog. So I’m guna’ start to.
This is a portrait of a strange boy at my school called ‘Rory’. He was born blue, suffers from mental issues, can’t fly because the pressure in head will be to great, and can’t swim because he’s not allowed to get water in his ears. But he’s a nice guy. I’ve got tons of pictures of him.

This is my favourite poem, by my favourite poet - the young boyfriend of Paul Verlaine, another mid19th century French poet. They were both hounded by French society of the time, once their relationship became very public through some rather more baudy poems than this one.

I ran away in 1985, at the age of 21, and arrived in Boulogne with 34p in my pocket, and spent 5 months begging and hitching around Europe, with one book in my rucksack - the poems of Arthur Rimbaud.

The full test is here.

Loooove this reading. Rimbaud is probably my favourite poet.
